The feeding of the 5000 is one of the biggest miracles Jesus performed.  It is crazy to think how Jesus used 5 loaves of bread and two fish to feed that many people.  I can’t even imagine what it would have been like to experience this miracle.  What I love about this miracle is that it shows that God wants to provide for our everyday basic needs.  Jesus could have easily told the people to go home and take care of their needs themselves but he chose instead to take care of them.  Jesus wants to take care of all your needs.  What are some big and small needs that you have?  Take some time to tell him about them and trust that he will meet those needs. Challenge: Today we challenge you to tell God about your needs.  Be sure to tell him not just big needs but everyday ones too.  Then watch for God to work.  When you see needs that he has met for you, be sure to write them down to remember all that God does for you.
