Esther: A 10-Day Reading Planنموونە

Who rules you is actually the most important thing about your life. We all bow down to something or someone. If it isn’t King Jesus, it’s money or beauty or pleasure of the sort on display in Persia. There’s no getting around it: if we’re not worshiping King Jesus, we are worshiping something or someone else, and whatever it might be, it’s actually nothing more than a tyrant like King Ahasuerus masquerading as a generous host.
Reflection:
Can you identify anyone or anything in your life that pushes the Lord away? Is there something or someone that tempts you to say, “I will not have this king—King Jesus—to rule over me” (see Luke 19:14)? If so, identify a practical step you can take this very week to help you change.
