Every Word, a Reader's 90-Day Guide to the Bibleنموونە

- God grieves over His disobedient people. Lamentations is a book of funeral poems. Feel the emotions of grief and lament as the once-beautiful Jerusalem now lies in ruins. Yet even in the darkest times there is hope (Lamentations 3:21–25).
- Jeremiah continues to faithfully prophesy to those who will not listen. God instructs them not to go to Egypt, but to stay in the land and experience His protection. The leaders of Judah respond predictably.
- While His people continue to rebel, God gives Ezekiel a brilliant promise: “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you” (36:26). This new-covenant promise will be fulfilled through the work of Jesus. Reflect on what it means to be given a new heart.
