The 5-Minute Bible Reading Plan And Devotional: Actsنموونە

Rights of Citizenship
When the commander of the Roman garrison ordered Paul to be tied up and whipped, Paul informed him that he was a Roman citizen. It was a serious violation to beat a citizen. As a citizen of this country, you too have inalienable rights, and shouldn’t hesitate to insist on them. Romans chapter 13 states that the police exist to punish evildoers, and it’s not being vindictive to enjoy the protection of the law. Remember, however, that there are times when it’s God’s will for you to relinquish certain rights in order to bless others.
