Relationship

We are not created to live in isolation. We can’t give love without other people just as we can’t experience being loved without other people. Our characters are shaped by our family, our friends, and all the people around us.

We have three roles in every relationship. The first one is when we walk; we live according to our beliefs as our lives are being watched by other people. Secondly is when we stand; we use our lives to lead and mentor others. Thirdly is when we sit down; we listen to others and learn from them.

In life, we need to listen to other people, and at the same time we should bless and mentor others. The relationships we have are gifts from God. Reimagine the relationships we have in our lives. Let us humble ourselves and have a teachable heart, eager to learn, and generous to teach others. Who are our mentors? And who are the people that we want to mentor? Remember that God wants to bless others through us.

God, I’m thankful for every relationship and all the people that You’ve placed in my life. Holy Spirit, teach me to open my heart and be humble. I want to bless others and I also want to learn from others.
