Some of them are unnamed. Some appear in a single verse. None of them knew their story would matter so much. Lightbearers traces twelve women at the turning points of God's story and asks what it looks like to carry His Word faithfully into the people and places he has given you, so that others may see and glorify your Father in heaven. Based on Matthew 5:14-16 and 1 John 1:5, this 14-day plan is for every woman who holds the completed Word of God and is ready to stop hiding it.


Women as Lightbearers

Not only is Jesus a great storyteller, but He is the “Author of Life” (Acts 3:15) and in control of the past, present and future. During His three years of ministry on earth, He often spoke to curious listeners using parables, which have been appropriately described as “small stories containing big truths.” In “Tell Me A Story,” we take a closer look at seven of these parables contained within Matthew 13 to develop a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, who we are and how we have been called to live in this world!

The risen Jesus gathered the men He had walked with for three years on a mountain in Galilee, and He gave them marching orders, so alive that two thousand years of history have not diminished it by a single word, and it stands before you today exactly as He spoke it then.

This five-day plan moves through Matthew 28:18-20, drawing out what Jesus meant when He said, "Go", "Make disciples", "Baptise", "Teach", and "I am with you always".

Jesus gave both the marching orders and the authority to carry out the Great Commission.
