1 Peter was written to early Christians scattered throughout Asia Minor. Peter called his beloved readers “elect exiles” because they were suffering for their faith and longing for their heavenly home. You also have these things, Christian: a living hope, the living Word, and the living stone–Jesus Christ himself.
