The Bible is a compilation of 66 books. Each book has an overarching theme. Multiple stories and texts in each book point to an attribute of God. When these themes are recognized, they help us understand the message of that book better. It also allows us to see how One Single Story is woven from beginning to end. Ultimately, each theme will enable us to understand Jesus and why He came.

You may not think you’re capable of doing bold and brave things, but the women of Exodus 2 show us that everyday women can choose to follow God in extraordinary ways. Human relationships are almost always messy because people are involved, but God isn’t people. God is God. He is completely, TOTALLY different. If our relationship to/with Him is ever messy, it's only because we made it that way. We invite you to put aside any assumptions you've made about God and let Him speak for Himself. We think you’ll find that He is much easier to trust than people.

That is what this little devotional is all about. What to do when someone in need is too close to ignore.

We all have excuses as to why we cannot move when God tells us to. “I’m not qualified” or “I’m still getting training in that area”. We think that our limitations are God’s limitations and we stop moving. In Plan 4 of Learning from the Old Testament Greats, we see Moses’ journey from fearful to faithful.
