Honest Faith: Bringing Your Doubts to God

DAY 5 OF 5

Doubt often comes from confusion. When life doesn’t make sense, we can feel frustrated, alone, or uncertain. Jesus’ words to his disciples remind us that it’s okay not to have the full picture. God doesn’t waste our questions—they can become gateways to deeper faith.

Like the disciples watching Jesus wash their feet, you may not understand God’s work right now. But that uncertainty can draw you closer, help you rely on him more fully, and invite you to trust in his timing and plan. Doubt doesn’t weaken faith—it can strengthen it when we lean in and stay close to Jesus.

How can your doubts today draw you closer to Jesus instead of pushing you away? What questions or uncertainties might be an invitation to trust him more deeply?

Pray: God, when I don’t understand what you’re doing, help me trust that you are still at work. Use my questions and doubts to draw me closer to you, and remind me that you are faithful even when I cannot see the full plan.

About this Plan

Honest Faith: Bringing Your Doubts to God

Doubt is often seen as something negative, but the Bible shows us that doubt is a natural part of faith. Some of the strongest followers of Jesus wrestled with uncertainty, and rather than rejecting them, God met them with grace and truth. Explore how Scripture acknowledges doubt, how God responds to it, and how we can continue to trust him even when we don’t have all the answers.
