Wake Me Up, Lord: Rediscover Who You Are in Christনমুনা

Day 3: Becoming More Like Christ
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword... it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NIV
God’s Word informs you, but even more importantly, it transforms you. It pierces through distraction, fear, and self-deception to show you what’s really going on in your heart. That might feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s also where growth begins.
When you experience conviction, it means the Holy Spirit sees something in you worth refining. He exposes your heart to reveal what needs to be healed so you can become more fully alive in Him. In that way, conviction becomes a gift that He encourages you to accept.
His Word holds up a mirror to your soul and still calls you beloved. That’s what happened when Jesus encountered people in scripture. He didn’t soften the truth—but He never turned away from the person behind the pain. He looked them in the eyes, spoke life into their story, and invited them into something new.
God does the same for you. Waking up means letting His Word search you so you are prepared and ready to respond when He calls you to come up higher. You are not your worst moment.
You are his handiwork, shaped by a perfect and loving Father.
So open the Word today with courage. Ask Him to speak—and expect Him to answer.
Pray
God, I invite Your Word to speak into my heart. Show me what You see. I trust You to convict me gently and lead me in the way that brings life.
Say
I am fully known by God and deeply loved. His Word transforms me, and I am becoming who He created me to be.
