Mom in the Word: One-Year Bible Plan (Volume 1)নমুনা

Week 6 (Day 30): Trusting God’s Promises When Things Seem Impossible
Scripture Reading: Exodus 6-7
Devotional Focus: God’s Faithfulness in the Face of Opposition
In Exodus 6 and 7, we see the continuation of Moses’ mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. After facing rejection from Pharaoh, Moses begins to doubt God’s plan. He feels inadequate, questioning whether the people will listen to him, and even wonders why God would send him to confront Pharaoh if the mission seems doomed from the start. But God responds by reaffirming His promises and His power.
In Exodus 6:2-8, God speaks directly to Moses, reminding him of His covenant with the Israelites. He declares, “I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm.” Despite the discouraging circumstances, God reassures Moses that His promises are not dependent on immediate results but on His unwavering faithfulness.
In Exodus 7, we see Moses and Aaron going before Pharaoh once again, this time empowered by God with miraculous signs and wonders to demonstrate His power. The first sign, turning the staff into a serpent, is a reminder that God has control over the forces of nature and can use even the smallest of tools to accomplish His mighty plans. Though Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, God’s plan continues to unfold according to His timing and purposes.
As moms, we may encounter moments where our efforts seem fruitless or when the opposition we face feels overwhelming. Whether it’s in our families, our work, or our personal faith journey, we can sometimes feel discouraged when things don’t change as quickly as we hope. But just as God was faithful to Moses and the Israelites, He is faithful to us. His promises are true, and His timing is perfect. Even when it seems like nothing is happening, God is at work, preparing the way for His greater plan.
Reflection:
✨ When have you felt discouraged in your journey, and how did you respond?
✨ How can you trust in God’s promises, even when you don’t see immediate results?
✨ In what ways can you lean on God’s faithfulness when things seem impossible?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the reminder that Your promises are always true, even when things don’t unfold as quickly or as easily as we expect. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and Your faithfulness. When I face opposition or discouragement, remind me that You are always at work behind the scenes. Strengthen my faith and help me to hold onto Your promises, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
💛 As you reflect today, know that God’s timing is never wrong, and He is always faithful. Trust in His plan, and continue walking forward with faith, even when it feels impossible.
