How's Your Faith Today? From Testing to Testimonyনমুনা

Day 1 - Why Faith Must Be Tested
Scripture:
"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold - though your faith is far more precious than mere gold." 1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)
Reflection:
Faith untested is faith unproven. Faith without testing looks fine on the surface, but it may not withstand life's storms. A chair looks sturdy until someone sits on it - that's when we discover its true strength.
Testing isn't God's punishment; it's His invitation to trust deeper. Trials strip away self-reliance and reveal whether our trust is truly in God or in ourselves. They also expose what we've leaned on instead of Him: our routines, our success, even our understanding. When those crumble, faith finds its true footing.
Think of Job. He lost his wealth, health, and children, yet declared, "Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him." (Job 13:15, NIV). His faith didn't shatter under fire - it was refined by it. In the end, Job could say, "My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You." (Job 42:5, NIV).
Testing doesn't mean God has abandoned us; it means He's drawing us closer. The same fire that purifies gold refines our faith and reveals His glory.
Application:
Ask yourself: In my current trial, am I leaning on my own strength or resting in God's promises?
Write down one situation testing your faith and one Scripture that anchors you in this storm.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that trials don't destroy faith but strengthen it. Purify my heart like gold and let my trust in You shine brighter through every test. Lead me from testing to testimony, from knowing about You to truly knowing You. Amen.

About this Plan

When life blindsides us - the diagnosis we never saw coming, the fracture in a relationship we begged God to heal, the silence after desperate prayers - our faith can feel fragile. We wonder, is what I believe enough to carry me through this? Yet Scripture reminds us that faith grows strongest in the fire. What shakes us doesn’t ruin us; it refines us. Over the next seven days, you’ll discover how testing becomes transformation, how surrender becomes strength, and how God turns storms into testimonies. You’re not facing this alone. The One who allows the storm walks with you through it.
