Chosen and Fruitful

DAY 4 OF 10

The Power of Remaining

Scripture: John 15 : 7–8
“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

Devotional
Abiding once is easy; remaining through pressure is maturity. When life grows uncertain, faith is tempted to uproot, but growth only happens when roots go deep.

Remaining in Christ means trusting even when results delay. It means choosing faithfulness over frustration. Sometimes God allows waiting seasons to strengthen what’s beneath the surface. Trees that endure wind develop stronger roots; believers who remain through trials produce deeper fruit.

When His words remain in you, your prayers begin to echo heaven. Your desires align with His heart, and the fruit you bear brings glory, not striving. To remain is to believe that unseen growth is still growth, that obedience in silence still honors God.

The world measures success by speed; the kingdom measures it by steadfastness. Don’t be quick to move when God calls you to stay. In due time, remaining will reveal rewards only perseverance can produce.

Reflection & Action

  1. Where are you tempted to walk away instead of remain?
  2. Action Step: Commit to stay faithful in one difficult area: keep serving, praying, or believing this week even when it feels slow.

Prayer Declaration
Lord, give me the strength to remain when quitting feels easier. Plant Your Word so deeply in me that storms can’t uproot it. May my endurance bring glory to Your name. Amen.
