Raising Emotionally Resilient Children - Helping Your Child Handle Emotions, Failure, and Pressure With Faith and Strengthনমুনা

DAY 2 – When Emotions Overwhelm
Scripture:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Devotional:
Children can be easily overwhelmed by disappointment, rejection, or failure. They don’t always have the words to express what they feel, so emotions could come out as tears, anger, or withdrawal.
Your role isn’t to silence those feelings but to help your child process them. Instead of saying, “Stop crying,” try, “I can see you’re upset. Let’s talk about it.” That simple shift communicates love and safety.
When children feel heard, they learn that emotions are not enemies — they’re signals leading us back to God’s care. Remind them that God wants them to bring their worries and fears to Him.
Reflection:
Do I create space for my child to express feelings safely, or do I rush to fix or dismiss them?
Prayer:
Lord, help me see my child’s emotions as invitations to connect, not problems to control. Give me patience to listen and wisdom to guide; in Jesus’ name, Amen.
