📖 Verse:
“And he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”” — Luke 23:42-43 (NIV)
💡 Reflection:
The man who spoke to Jesus on the cross knew he had made big mistakes, but he also realized Jesus was the King! When he asked Jesus to "remember me," he was doing two things: he was repenting (admitting his sins and turning away from them) and believing (trusting that Jesus had the power to forgive him and bring him into His kingdom). Jesus' answer shows us the incredible power of His grace: because the man repented and believed, Jesus promised him immediate forgiveness and a welcome into paradise. When we trust Jesus as our King, there's always enough grace to forgive our sins and welcome us into His family forever.
