Day 3: Delegate with Discernment
Devotional Thought:
Delegation is one of the most powerful things a leader can do. Empowering others with responsibility not only strengthens your team but also helps people grow in confidence and leadership. When you give others opportunities you could’ve done yourself, you’re building a stronger team — and a stronger culture of trust.
But delegation also requires discernment. Not everyone will steward what you give them well. Some may even take advantage of your generosity or leadership. That’s why it’s important to prayerfully assess what to delegate and who to delegate it to. When the right people are around your table, your team will go far. But sometimes, you’ll realize that someone is sitting in a seat they shouldn’t occupy.
Leading with wisdom means knowing when to make changes — and doing so with grace and kindness. Scripture calls us to be both shrewd and gentle. By being wise, discerning, and courageous in leadership, you create space for health, unity, and spiritual power to grow within your team.
As worship creatives, we lead people into God’s presence every week. That requires unity not just spiritually, but emotionally and relationally. When your team prays together, worships together, and walks in humility together, you’re not just playing songs — you’re fighting battles on your knees and leading others to victory in worship.
Prayer:
Lord, give me wisdom to lead with discernment and grace. Help me to know who to trust, when to delegate, and how to lead with both humility and courage. Surround me with the right people so that together, we can lead Your people into Your presence with purity and unity. Amen.
