Everyone needs encouragement to keep going on their journey with God. Think about how much it helps you when someone shows you kindness and goes out of their way to build you up. One of the letters to the early church in the New Testament concludes by giving some timeless and practical reminders that we are in this together and can spur one another along.
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:11-15.
Questions to consider:
- Who are some people (in leadership roles or who need extra care) that I can treat with respect, love, and patience?
- What would it look like to express that?
- Is there one action from the list in today’s Scripture that I need to practice today?
An action step to take:
Send a note of encouragement to someone who has come to your mind. Let them know that you see them and express genuine gratitude for who they are.
