Rest in the Storm

DAY 7 OF 7

Peace, Be Still

The disciples had Jesus in their boat and still panicked. Same, right? I can feel God near and still feel my chest tighten when waves rise.

But look at Jesus. He stands, speaks, and the sea obeys. The point isn’t that storms stop forever; it’s that peace is possible in the middle. Peace isn’t a feeling you chase—it’s a Person you invite.

I used to be the girl crying on a trampoline, praying for a future without chaos. Today, by God’s grace, my home is quiet. We talk. We apologize. We laugh. We play worship loud and keep shame quiet. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened through truth, boundaries, wise help, and the steady presence of Jesus.

You can choose this path too. Let Him calm the storm within you, even if winds still whip around you. Trust more that the storms will come, but He can be our shelter. Breathe. Pray. Ask boldly. Practice gratitude. Guard what you allow into your mind and heart. Build a small circle of trusted voices. Speak “Peace, be still” over your thoughts, your mornings, and your nights.

And when fear tries to rename you, remember the progress you’ve already made. When old patterns try to pull you back, remember the strength you’ve found along the way. When the weight feels heavy again, remind yourself that peace is possible. The life you’ve dreamed of- the one filled with calmness and serenity is waiting for you. Sometimes, in order to have peace, though, you need to be a Holy Disruptor and disrupt what you’ve been taught, set boundaries, and walk away from chaos. Toxic patterns of any kind are not love.

May Peace be welcomed in every aspect of your life.

Where will you invite Jesus’ peace on purpose this week (home, phone habits, schedule, social media, a relationship)—and what daily cue will remind you to speak, “Peace, be still”?

About this Plan

Rest in the Storm

Rest In The Storm helps you trade panic for peace. Through short daily readings, Scripture, and one simple action step, you’ll learn to name your storm, reject false labels, move from fear to love, set sacred boundaries, break generational patterns, and lay down what was never yours to carry. If you’re ready to disrupt toxicity with truth and let Jesus speak “Peace, be still” over your heart and home, this plan will guide you—gently, clearly, and practically.
