When Anger Strikesনমুনা

When They Mock You
Verse: “A gentle answer turns away wrath.” – Proverbs 15:1 (NIV).
When I was a child, I was very skinny and shy. At school, some kids laughed at me and mocked me, and that made me angry. I didn’t know how to respond, and sometimes I cried alone. I discovered that when we keep anger inside, it feels like it grows, like a fire. But when I asked God for help, I learned that I could breathe, calm down, and give that pain to Him.
Biblical explanation:
Cain also felt angry when his offering was not accepted. God warned him to control his heart, but he didn’t listen. When we let anger grow without control, it can lead us to do harmful things.
Therapeutic practice:
When you feel angry because someone mocked you, close your eyes and blow gently 3 times, as if you were blowing out a candle.
Prayer:
“Lord, help me not let anger control me when others mock me. Amen.”

About this Plan

We all feel anger, and children and pre-teens are no different. I know this from my own childhood, facing bullying, struggles, and feeling different. Many times I cried and didn’t know how to react. Today, as a psychologist, mentor, and servant of Christ, I’ve learned that anger can be transformed when surrendered to God. In this plan, you’ll discover peace through His Word.
