“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
As a teenager, it’s easy to feel overlooked or underestimated. But God doesn’t wait for you to “grow up” to use you—He’s ready now. Paul reminded Timothy, a young leader, that his age didn't disqualify him from making a difference. Instead, he was called to lead by example in how he spoke, acted, loved, believed, and stayed pure.
You don’t need a stage or a spotlight to lead. Your everyday choices—how you treat classmates, respond to stress, and stand up for what’s right—can inspire others. Let your life point to Jesus. Even now, your faith matters.
This week, pick one of the five areas from the verse (speech, conduct, love, faith, purity) and write down a specific way you can grow in that area this week. Then ask a trusted friend or mentor to encourage and check in with you.

About this Plan

From family to classmates to neighbors to social media, you have the ability to affect those around you. You have influence, and what you do with that influence matters. In this four-week series, you'll be challenged to pay attention to the "butterfly effect" that you have on others and be encouraged for that to be shaped by the effect Jesus wants you to have in the lives of others.
