First Things First

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.- Matthew 6:33

Faithful Father, You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. Thank You for always being mindful of every need we have. Thank You for promising that if we seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness first, then everything else we need, and even some desires, will be given to us. You are truly amazing in all of Your ways.

Holy Spirit, help me to keep first things first. Help me to resist the temptation to put my job, material possessions, social media, or even my family before You. Your kingdom and righteousness are what matters most. Help me to love those who are outside of Your kingdom so they, too, can encounter the love of Christ. When I begin to worry about the “stuff” or not having enough, help me refocus on You. I am in great expectation of what we will do together as I continue to place You and Your will above all else. In Jesus’ name, amen.
