Say So: Declaring God's Word Over Your Life

DAY 11 OF 30

If you were going on an important journey and you didn’t know how to get there, how often would you consult your map? Would you try to wing it?

Every day we are alive, one thing is certain - we still have a race to run. We are still on the road to all God has planned for our lives.

The writer of Hebrews tells us how to run our race well: fix our eyes on Jesus.

According to John 1:1 and 1:14, Jesus is the Word and the Word is Jesus. When we read and meditate on the Bible, we look at Jesus. All we need - wisdom, knowledge, and enlightenment - to run our race lie hidden in Him.

As you run your race, keep in mind that you are not in competition with the person in the next lane running their race. Your competition is your finish line. We have individual assignments to cross ‘Our finish line’, and to trust God for strength along the way.

Say So:

Today, I run with endurance the race that is set before me, fixing my eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of my faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. I keep my eyes on the Word that ignites and perfects my faith.

Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize God, through Christ Jesus, is calling me to.
