Rebuilt Faith

DAY 30 OF 30

Day 30: A Church for the World

God’s vision has always been bigger than one nation or people. Israel was chosen not just for its own sake but to be a light to the nations. In Christ, the Church becomes the new Israel, called to shine God’s light to the world.

Yet too often, the Church can turn inward, becoming preoccupied with internal debates or personal preferences. When this happens, we risk becoming what some call a “holy huddle,” centered on ourselves while losing sight of the world God has called us to love and serve.

Jesus was different. He was magnetic to outsiders. People who were nothing like Him wanted to be around Him. If we are to be His Body, then we too must be outwardly focused - welcoming, joyful, and attractive to those who don’t yet believe.

Sharing our faith isn’t just about individual conversations; it’s about being a community that exists for those not yet here. When we keep outsiders in mind and orient our ministry toward them, we live out the mission Jesus gave us: Go and make disciples.

Questions

  • In what ways can your parish become more outwardly focused?
  • How can you personally reflect Christ’s light to those who don’t yet know Him?

About this Plan

Rebuilt Faith

Rebuilt Faith will help you take daily steps to grow as a disciple of Christ. Inspired by the book by Fr. Michael White and Tom Corcoran, this plan invites you to reflect on who Jesus is and why He is worth following. Through the STEPS of discipleship—Serve, Tithe and Give, Engage, Practice, and Share—you’ll discover practical ways to live your faith: serving others, trusting God’s provision, building authentic community, deepening prayer, and sharing the Gospel. Each devotional is designed to draw you closer to Christ and inspire you to take your next step in faith.
