Protocols, Postures and Power of Thanksgivingনমুনা

GIVING GOD HIS GLORY THROUGH THANKS
Settle who you are before the Father — devotee or initiate — and then return His glory through thanksgiving. Jesus said of the one leper, “There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger” (Luke 17:18, KJV). Thanksgiving is not a polite add-on; it is one of the highest forms of glorifying God. When you refuse to give thanks, you misdirect glory. “I am the LORD… my glory will I not give to another” (Isaiah 42:8, KJV). It is possible to thank the wrong person, to celebrate the channel and ignore the Source. I want you to correct that theology today: honour God first, then thank men accurately “according to weight.”
As a pastor, the most painful sight is not satanic attack but saints who thank God beneath the measure of mercy. They fell apart while the crisis raged, then boasted lightly when the answer came — more performance than gratitude. Others withhold thanks for fear of mockers. Beware the spirit of Michal that sneers at heartfelt devotion; she mocked David’s thanksgiving and entered barrenness. Never intrude into another’s worship — you do not know the private wars behind public praise. Honour Heaven by letting gratitude be as weighty as the deliverance. Jesus’ verdict on the grateful leper was not mere applause; it was promotion: “Thy faith hath made thee whole.”
Practically, return promptly and precisely. Name what God did, what He prevented, and what He preserved. Publicly glorify the Source; then honour the channels with messages, visits, or gifts as wisdom requires. Refuse casual phrases that shrink miracles into clichés. Let your thanksgiving be proportionate — words you would never give a man, posture that moves you, a memorial seed that marks the mercy. Do not fear the gallery; fix your gaze on the King. As you glorify God in this way, expect the wholeness that fills up shortages, restores losses, and completes what began by faith. Thanksgiving is Heaven’s pathway from cleansing to completeness.
THOUGHT TO PONDER: Where have I misdirected glory to channels instead of the Source? What precise, weighty act of thanksgiving will I offer today so that God alone is glorified?
PRAYER: Father, I refuse to steal Your glory. I return to honour You first and fully; help me give thanks that matches Your mercy and brings wholeness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

The Bible urges us to give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thess. 5:18). Thanksgiving is very important, yet many miss the opportunity to practice it. Everyone has tasted God’s faithfulness; therefore, recognizing it makes thanksgiving deliberate and effective; it is your response to what He has done. Join us as we explore the subject of thanksgiving over the next 31 days.
