Weary: Holding on to God's Word in Hard Timesনমুনা

Back to Basics
Time and time again, I’m reminded that I can’t live this Christian life on my own. My heart grows weary under the weight of my dreams, decisions, deadlines, and the reality of my sin. I’m so thankful for this verse because it reminds me that God hasn’t left us alone; He’s given us His Word and His people, the church, to walk with us, speak truth when we forget it, and lift us when we’re weak.
If (more like when) you’re struggling, I urge you to let someone in; Some of the deepest healing I’ve experienced came when I finally opened up and allowed others to remind me of what Christ has done. Life will always have its challenges, and in those tough times, let us return to the Gospel and lean on God’s people; let’s turn back to basics.
Reflection:
- What are some areas of your life that you could use help or encouragement in?
- How do you think the Gospel speaks to that situation?
- Who’s a trusted person that you could let in on your situation?
Prayer:
Dear God, I just want to thank You for where I am right now. Thank You for the saving work of Your Son on the cross and for the gift of never having to walk through life alone.
I thank you that I don’t have to hide and that I can come to you with boldness about my struggles. I ask that You surround me with people who will continue to point me back to You. And help me, Lord, to do the same—to be someone who encourages others, shares Your love, and reflects Your truth in how I live. Please give me courage to share my struggles, and grow in me a heart that longs to care and bear the burdens of others. In Jesus Name, Amen
