Peace with God - 1

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.

”We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. ... All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. ... There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. ... But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. ...For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us...For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life....Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full...For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. ...Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
