Reset and Recenter: A Christian's Guide to Faith and Technology

DAY 14 OF 19

Pause and Reflect

Over the last few days, we learned about the behaviors of the early church. They didn’t live siloed, individual lives. It’s true that they didn’t have DoorDash to compete with, but finding real, genuine connection with others has always had its obstacles, and the early church found a way to overcome them.

As you reflect today, consider your own habits and mindsets around community. Identify where in your life you’re experiencing connection similar to the early believers, and where it feels lacking.

Again, taking time to slow down and reflect helps build your self-awareness. And self-awareness helps you identify the areas of your life that are going really well and also shows you habits you might want to change.

So use this time to reflect on your recent technology use.

Journal and Reflect

  • What was your daily average screen time in the past few days? How do you feel about it?
  • In what ways was technology helpful and unhelpful to you this week?
  • How did technology help you connect with others? How will you connect with someone face to face sometime in the next week?

Pray

Lord, thank You for the love and grace You’ve given me. Fill me with wisdom and guidance as I continue to work toward healthier habits and prioritizing You. Please help me identify what changes I need to make in my life to better serve You and love others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
