Manger Throne নমুনা

Sometimes I think that if I had been God and was planning on leaving heaven to come to earth, I would have gone with a more obvious plan. I would have announced it through the sky to all nations and would have expected the kings of the world to line up to receive me. But He took it as an opportunity to display incredible and unfathomable love to the most unlikely people.
He chose shepherds to be the first to hear the news of His birth. Men who were dirty, sunburned and just being near them, the smell told everyone that they were covered in the muck and mire of the animals they slept near. Grime under their fingernails. Dust all over. Certainly the low-end of the economic spectrum. Unable to go to the temple because they were unclean. Men with absolutely no social standing.
However, I am overwhelmed at seeing our God’s heart in this choice. He displays a kind and honoring love for the lowest and the least. He reaches out to draw in the overlooked, marginalized and forgotten ones.
God totally disregarded the proud religious types and sent His angels to humble and meek working men doing their undesirable job. Those rejected by the world were remembered by God.
They were the ones who heard “Today a Savior has been born TO YOU.”
(Prayer)
God who loves the least of these,
I am amazed at Your love for those who feel insignificant and forsaken. This is a big planet. It’s crowded with billions of people and at times I can feel lost among a sea of faces. Thank You that in a world of so many who are accomplished, influential and esteemed, You have a heart that is tender toward people like me.
Amen.
