Wisdom for Life – Proverbsনমুনা

Grace for the Humble
Today's readings remind us of the futility of arrogance and the danger of self-sufficiency – in contrast to God's protection and provision for the vulnerable and marginalised. God is the defender of the weak and judge of the proud. Even as the prevailing culture clamours for status and success, its worth is transient and its promises are empty. True security can only be found in relationship with Jesus Christ, who came to us in person, demonstrated grace, died in humility, and rose again in glory.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, that you are the God of grace. Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, have mercy on me. Forgive my arrogance and pride. Clothe me in humility. Fill me with your grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
