WE SHALL NOT DIE - Reading With the People of God #17

DAY 3 OF 61

Be Reminded Again That God is in Charge!

A short little intro to God’s word for today

And as He usually does, He has much truth to say.

A reminder again that only Jesus can give,

Forgiveness and life and the best way to live!

For living the lie which the world prophecies,

That I am what counts, that I am the guy.

Even though all of this, will eventually die.

Our sinful way does not lead to peace

And its benefits will disastrously cease.

But man lives in a cloud and shouts it aloud

That he is in charge and grand and large!

Yet God has a plan that brings man to his knees

Because of the evil in man that He sees.

And man is reminded once more in his pain,

That all of his sinful efforts are in vain.

It is only through Jesus whom the Father has sent.

That true life will be found if we’ll only repent!

When it looks like the world and its ways are winning,

and our lives are drawn to joining into the sinning.

Be reminded today what your God has planned.

That He is still in charge, and has things in hand.

And Yes, there is judgment for those who deny

that Jesus is God and live by the lie.

God is not good if in spite of His grace

He leaves sin in His world, even a trace.

That is why He sent Jesus to die in our place!

About this Plan

WE SHALL NOT DIE - Reading With the People of God #17

In this 17th installment of Reading with the People of God, we continue following a lectionary rhythm—Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms. This plan explores the prophetic voices of Micah, Habakkuk, and Isaiah, who confronted kings and warned of coming judgment while pointing to the hope of the Messiah. Alongside these, we'll read from the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts, tracing the life of Christ and the birth of the Church. As we read these powerful passages in parallel, may the Spirit shape us and grow us in Christ together.
