Letting Go and Trusting Godনমুনা

In the Bible, we see the perfect example of a harsh truth: some people don’t need to seduce you or stir up storms to derail your destiny; all they need to do is whisper fear. The ten spies in Numbers 13 brought back a report full of fear to the people of God. The part that amazes me is how their words caused an entire nation to miss out on the Promised Land. Only Joshua and Caleb had faith, and it was their faith that aligned with God’s will. The others saw giants and forgot God’s power.
The fourth type of person you must let go of is the doubter. This kind of person carries the spirit of fear and discouragement. They always have a reason why things won’t work, why the risk is too high, or why you should settle for less than what God has promised.
It's important to remember that words matter. The words spoken over you, near you, and around you matter even more. If the people closest to you are always pointing out problems and never building your faith, you may need to reconsider how much influence they have in your life.
I want to emphasize that fear can often disguise itself as wisdom, and doubt can pretend to be caution. However, the Bible says that it is faith that pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). In other words, surround yourself with those who stir up your faith, not your fear.
Today's Challenge: Take time to think about who has the loudest voice in your life. Are they building your faith or feeding your fear? Make a decision to spend more time with those who help you trust God more.
Let's Pray: God, I want to be surrounded by people who believe in Your promises. Help me identify voices in my life that stir up doubt or fear. Give me discernment and the boldness to distance myself when needed.
