Journey Through Jeremiah & Lamentationsনমুনা

Intro
Nicole introduces this lesson on Lamentations, a book made up of A to Z poems all about the devastation of the Exile—a collection of laments for mourning exiles, but also a book of hope.
Lamentations: In the Text
Lamentations isn’t technically a prophetic book, but it was likely written by Jeremiah and it complements the historical account with an emotional and ritual approach to national crisis.
Lamentations in Context
Jeremiah and 2 Kings offer an objective historical account of the famine; Lamentations provides an emotional eyewitness account of devastation.
Lamentations’ parallel account of the fall of Jerusalem continues and takes us through a number of key events also referenced in 2 Kings and Jeremiah. Use the following table to read more examples on your own. (Parry*)
