How God Doubled Our Income in 18 Daysনমুনা

Day 1: The Kitchen Table Moment
We've all been there—sitting with a financial decision that makes our hearts race.
Maybe it's a generous gift that stretches your budget, a career change that cuts your income, or simply choosing to tithe when money feels tight.
A friend of mine, Sarah, found herself at her kitchen table, mouse hovering over a "submit" button for a financial gift that made zero financial sense. They had the money, but giving it would drain their savings with no recovery plan in sight. For over a week, she'd felt God's nudge to give more than logic allowed.
Sound familiar? That tension between what your spreadsheet says and what your spirit senses is where faith intersects with finances. It's where we discover whether we truly believe God sees what we can't.
Here's what Sarah couldn't know in that moment: just 18 days after her bold decision to obey God, her husband's salary doubled.
Only God!
I love how Proverbs 3 illustrates this so clearly. We are instructed not to trust in “our own understanding” but rather to trust and submit to Him and then He does the work of “making our paths straight”.
But it starts with our trust in Him.
Your kitchen table moment might look different, but the principle remains: God's perspective trumps your planning every time.
Not because planning is wrong, but because His vision is complete while ours is limited.
When you feel that Holy nudge toward financial obedience—whether it's giving, spending, or saving—remember that trusting God doesn't mean tossing logic. It means anchoring your decisions to the only One who sees the full picture.
Let’s pray:
Father, when financial decisions feel overwhelming, help me remember that You see what I cannot. Give me wisdom to discern Your voice and courage to trust Your leading, even when it doesn't make sense to my limited understanding.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
