Nurturing Your Desire for More in a Healthy Wayনমুনা

Exercise Patience
Patience is the first characteristic among the sixteen characteristics of the God-kind of love written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Why did Paul put it first? In my view, patience, although important, is one of the rarest virtues people have as part of their character.
In a world of ever-advancing technology, most people prefer to do things quickly today. Several organizations have researched the effects of instant messaging on people. While acknowledging that it has helped increase productivity, it has also heightened impatience in users and reduced their tolerance for delays. One sad aspect of this revelation is that some Christians are carrying over that attitude to God. They pray, asking God for things, but usually don't receive them immediately after they ask. Oh!
When God created the world, He knew that a time like this would come. But His principles remain unchanged. You've got to learn how to wait patiently for the Lord in all the things you ask of Him. Scripture tells us to pray, but it never promises a specific time when God will grant our requests. That's how God's kingdom is. You'll have what you say, but not really when you expect to get it. Your job is to pray; God's work is to answer those requests. So, do your part and let God do His. He will surely come through for you.
