RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16নমুনা

Called to More Than Comfort
Today’s readings confront us with a powerful challenge: God’s call to move beyond complacency and comfort into faithful action. In Amos 4, God lists the ways His people have ignored His warnings—preferring their own ease over repentance and justice. Yet God’s persistent call remains: change your ways and return.
In Mark, Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” (Mark 8:29 NIV), pressing them—and us—to grapple with His identity and what it means to follow Him. Following Jesus isn’t passive; it involves self-denial, taking up our cross, and living with intentionality.
As part of God’s church today, the question is clear: How are you responding to God’s call to repent and serve? What next step is God inviting you to take—whether in your community, church, or daily life?
God’s call is urgent and personal. Will you answer with action, not just words?

About this Plan

This 16th installment of our Reading with the People of God plan invites you into the voices of the Minor Prophets—Hosea through Nahum—calling God’s people to return with sincerity and trust. Paired with the Gospel of Mark, we’ll hear Christ’s invitation to repentance and renewed faith. Each day includes readings from Psalms, the Old Testament, and the New Testament, with a brief devotional primer. May these readings draw you nearer to the Lord, awaken your heart to His mercy, and echo His faithful call: “Return to Me.”
