What to Do When You Don't Know What to Doনমুনা

When King Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming battle, he didn’t try to figure things out on his own strength. I want you to notice that his first response was to pray.
It was during those moments that we saw an outline of how Jehoshaphat prayed:
- Praise – He acknowledged God’s greatness, shifting his focus from the problem to the One who holds the solution.
- Thanksgiving – He thanked God for past victories, reminding himself of God’s faithfulness.
- Brought His Complaints to God – Notice that Jehoshaphat didn’t stop himself from expressing his frustrations towards God, but he did so after he had acknowledged God and thanked Him.
- Asked for Help – After pouring out his heart, Jehoshaphat asked God to intervene on his behalf. In the same way, the Bible encourages us to bring our anxieties to God. He will give us peace (Philippians 4:6-7).
When you don’t know what to do, pray first. Let prayer lead you, not follow you.
Challenge: Today, before making any major decision or reacting to stress, stop and pray. Ask God to lead you before taking action.
Let's Pray:
Father, when I face uncertainty, let my first response be to seek You. I acknowledge Your power, I thank You for what You’ve already done, and I trust that You will guide me. Teach me to pray with expectation, knowing that You hear and answer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
