Sharing the Greatest News
When something changes your life, you can’t help but share it. Think about the last time you discovered an amazing restaurant or watched a movie that left you in awe. You probably couldn’t wait to tell your friends about it! Or consider a potluck with friends and coworkers—when you bring your grandmother’s special recipe, you’re filled with joy as you watch others enjoy it. There’s something about sharing what we love that brings excitement and fulfillment.
Now, if we get so excited about food, movies, or restaurants, how much more should we be eager to share the greatest news of all—the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
Paul reminds us that the Gospel is of first importance: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. This truth isn’t just an interesting fact—it’s life-changing. Because Jesus rose from the dead, we have the promise of eternal life. Our faith is not in vain, and death does not have the final say. The world may doubt or dismiss the idea of resurrection, just as the Corinthians struggled with it, but our hope is secure in Christ.
Peter also declares that through the resurrection of Jesus, we have been born again into a living hope. This hope is not wishful thinking; it’s a confident expectation rooted in the power of God. Just as Jesus was raised from the dead, we, too, will experience new life in Him.
If this truth has changed our lives forever, why wouldn’t we share it with others? The joy of knowing Christ is far greater than the excitement of sharing a favorite recipe or movie. The Gospel is the good news that rescues souls, transforms hearts, and offers eternal hope.
Today, ask yourself: Who in your life needs to hear about Jesus? How can you share the joy of His resurrection with others? Let’s not keep this good news to ourselves. Instead, let’s be eager, excited, and bold in telling the world that Jesus is alive—and that His resurrection changes everything!
Reflection Questions:
1.What’s something in your life that you’ve been excited to share with others?
2.How does the resurrection of Jesus give you hope?
3.Who can you share the Gospel with today?
4.How can you reflect the joy of salvation in your daily interactions?
