The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

1 Timothy 6:10

Father,

In the troubles and stresses of life, guard my son from depending on money for comfort or security. Deliver him from the temptation of chasing after financial success. Spare him the pain and disappointment of looking for satisfaction in material things. He can’t serve both money and Jesus—unite his heart to Yours so he loves You above everything else. Let him be joyful and content with all You’ve provided for him. Amen.
