A Year in Luke/Actsনমুনা

Notice how the chapter ends by noting that on the Sabbath Day, Jesus’ followers rested, observing the Commandment. Can you imagine how hard it must have been for them? There were things to do, questions to ask. It is as if they knew that if they were going to embody all Jesus had taught them, they needed to take this time.
Jesus did not abolish all of the rituals and customs of His people in His Ministry, as we often imagine. The fact that they still observed this Commandment in light of the events proves this.
It is a challenge for us in our world. Often when things are especially difficult we give ourselves a pass in our devotion to Jesus, but what if this is precisely the moment that we need to keep going? What if spiritual disciplines like Sabbath come to life in life’s most difficult moments?
