A Year in Luke/Actsনমুনা

The image of the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great glory is taken from Daniel 7, but the image is not of the Son of Man coming from heaven to earth, but from earth to heaven to be given authority and dominion (see Daniel 7:13-14). Remember the parable Jesus told about the nobleman and the ten pounds in Luke 19: the nobleman goes away in order to receive royal authority. It would seem something similar is happening here; in the Temple’s destruction (which Jesus did not want and mourned), he will be vindicated as the Son of Man who was right to condemn the state of religious affairs in Israel.
Verse 32 gives further evidence that Jesus is speaking to sooner events than his Second Coming when he says that “this generation will not pass away” until the things he is describing have happened.
