Abide: Engaging the Book of Jamesনমুনা

PRAYING SCRIPTURE
James 5:13–16
In this passage, it seems James was telling his readers to pray all the time about everything. That makes sense, because if we believe God is personal and always near, why not talk to Him all the time about every detail that disturbs us?
To help you get started, here is a list of things to pray about:
- Tell God about the ways you are struggling, and remember your friends and family members who are suffering too.
- Tell God what makes you feel cheerful today. James encouraged singing praises (v. 13); for example, pick one of the following passages in Psalms and write it out or sing it: Psalms 89:1–2; 95:6–7; 145:1–2; 146:2. As James instructed, confess your sins and pray for one another (v. 16).
