BUT (dictionary: save for, nevertheless, on the contrary) When you say “BUT”, it disregards everything you just said before it… God will not let me be tested beyond what I can bear, BUT this temptation seems irresistible. This temptation seems irresistible, BUT God will not let me be tested beyond what I can bear. I am healed by Jesus’ stripes, BUT the doctor says I’ll never improve. The doctor says I’ll never improve, BUT by Jesus’ stripes I am healed. God says I’m OK, BUT I feel like a failure. I feel like a failure, BUT God says I’m OK. I can do all things through Christ’s strength in me, BUT I’m really struggling. I’m really struggling, BUT I can do all things through Christ’s strength in me. Jesus restores relationships, BUT this relationship feels like it’s going to cark it. This relationship feels like it’s going to cark it, BUT Jesus restores relationships.
