PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, we live in a world where darkness is flirting around every corner, and our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8b).
But Your light penetrates the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). We see it everywhere, yet sometimes, for whatever reason, we choose to walk in the shadows where the allure of the world is waiting to seduce us.
By Your Spirit, please help us turn away from evil and to give no opportunity for sin to creep into our lives. May our desire to follow Jesus be greater than our affection for this world, for we are called to be Your children of light.
ONE QUESTION
Have I allowed the charm of the world to seduce me away from God’s path for my life?
