Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a Dayনমুনা

Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
Have you ever used bookends? Better yet, have you ever tried to keep books on a shelf looking good without bookends?
Bookends hold things together. They keep things orderly and prevent them from collapsing.
This is why I so heartily recommend bookending your day with morning and evening prayer. By starting and ending on your knees, you’re putting bookends in place to keep your world, life, and everything neat, orderly, and chaos-free.
How are your “bookends”?
Prod
Have you incorporated morning and evening prayer into your daily routine? What sort of results are you seeing with your current routine?
Praise

Pray
Jesus, help me always turn to you in times of need and even when I don’t need anything. I want to breathe you in and breathe you out. Help me develop strong spiritual rhythms where I can meet with you each day. Because I always need you. Amen.

In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
