Deborah the Preserver Just as God stirred up Deborah and Barak to preserve the legacy of the children of Israel, He is challenging us to awaken out of our slumber and complacency and arise to preserve the legacy of the church. The body of Christ is in a radical transition time due to the shaking that is happening all over the world. The acceleration and advancement of radical Islam throughout the earth, the new surge of power with ISIS, and the critical dangers many face on our city streets every single day will only be overcome on our knees. The freedom we have to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and teach the words of Holy Scripture is being challenged every day. Pastors are leaving the ministry due to burnout, moral failings, and suicide. Many believers are leaving the church because they have no passion, no purpose, and no power. The church has been lulled to sleep, and in many cases are oblivious to the raging battle against its very existence. But we must awaken and return to the core identity. It is time to put on the whole armor of God and embrace the mantle of intercession to stand in the gap for the souls of our nations. Deborah sets an admirable example for us in that she saw the needs of her people and envisioned herself in their solution. Woman of God, it is time to intervene, intercede, and speak out! Your voice is needed; we are in a war. People are perishing. You are an important element in initiating the manifestation of the revival of the Holy Spirit on the earth!
