No Fear: Choosing Faith When I'm Afraidনমুনা

In God I Trust
The world is a strange place to live in today. So many issues of all kinds haunt our thoughts and cause us to worry about tomorrow.
War, inflation, and political discord are just a few of the world issues we face. Quickly, the enemy uses worrisome thoughts to escalate our minds to fear.
But we don't have to be afraid.
When I picture myself holding coins in my hand as a child, I remember the words "In God We Trust" always intrigued me. How did the American forefathers think about etching these words into our monetary exchange system?
Because this trust was literal in their lives. The psalmist from Psalm 56 explains it this way:
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you, O God.
Your God is worthy of your trust.
Will you pray with me?
Father, the enemy is great, but You are greater. When the unknown presses into my soul, when conspiracy and anxiety eat away at me, remind me to rely on Your almighty power.
A POCKET PRAYER TO CARRY EVERYWHERE
Lord, help me remember that You are always for me.
