In answer to their prayer, God raises up Ehud to be the deliverer of the nation of Israel and his strategy was precise. Their victory did not come by warfare, but it came by going straight to the head, which was Eglon, the king of Moab. By flattery (paying tribute), Ehud made his way straight to the king. No fighting, no commotion, no arguing with the guards. He made a beeline for the king. The rest is history. Nobody even knew that Ehud had killed the king until long after he escaped.

There are some social matters that we as believers, may be fighting the wrong way. There are times to speak out, but we are battling forces that are the “head” of the decision makers in our communities. Instead of attacking the head, we are attacking on the physical realm with online arguments, placards, and angry social media statuses. When we take our positions in prayer, and we start to take down the demonic entities that influence physical decision makers, then we will see a shift. Ehud attacked the king directly, and immediately, his reign of terror was over. No need for re-election , or voting, Ehud went to the source of the oppression.
