Heirs of Godনমুনা

Fellow Heirs with Christ
Imagine that we are heirs to a large sum of money. What thoughts might we have?
Now imagine if we felt that same excitement knowing that we are heirs with Jesus to eternal salvation. As Romans 8:17 points out, if we are children of God, then we are fellow heirs with Jesus. We know that we will deal with situations almost like those He faced since this is the case.
Facing similar issues that Christ faced means that we must deal with them head-on. Jesus moved forward even when He encountered challenges, up to and including dying for us. This might hurt to hear, but our complaints about what God wants us to do are small compared to what Jesus accomplished in being the first heir. God knows that we might fail. God knows that there are pieces of the puzzle outside of our own abilities. But we are partakers in a great fortune, so we can labor even with failure and know that God still chooses us. He will give us what we need to complete our job for Him.
Our eternity is safe. All we have to do is show up and do the hard, laborious work. Just like Jesus did. And in doing so, we can be heirs like Him.
