Heaven is where we as followers of Jesus experience being made new, and in a way we have already begun to experience that when we gave our life to Jesus. Our passage today tells us that we have been made new, we are new creations, and our old selves have passed away. This is part of heaven, we are made new and whole. We no longer experience the pain and brokenness of this world, but we are transformed more and more into the image of Jesus who died for our sins. So when we pray that God helps us bring heaven to earth, we are praying that God helps us look more and more like Jesus, along with those around us. Today, lets pray that God reveal areas in our life that we need to grow in the image of Jesus. When we become more like Jesus, we experience more and more of heaven on earth.
