Have you ever been interested in something that you never would've expected? For example, you find out you have to show up at an event you'd never choose to go to on your own — like an art exhibit, a concert, a play, or a sports game. You don't want to go because these events aren't things you're interested in at all. But you end up going and realize you're enjoying yourself and actually glad to be there!

You would never have expected yourself to enjoy these events, but by taking that first step, you learned something about yourself and engaged in something new. Sometimes with Jesus, he can show up in the most unexpected places. We might experience his presence on a difficult day through a random act of kindness. We can be more aware of Jesus' presence by learning more about Jesus and realizing the ways Jesus is always with us.
